M1 Junctions 25 -28
As an organisation based in Nottinghamshire we were delighted to be appointed by MVM (a joint venture between Morgan Est., Vinci and Sir Robert McAlpine) as a specialist supply chain partner on their contract to widen approximately 23km of the M1 motorway between Sandiacre (Junction 25) and Pinxton (Junction 28).
The widening scheme is intended to primarily enhance safety and benefit the economy, as a result of reduced congestion and improved accessibility to the region.
McCann’s were responsible for the street lighting with over 1500 columns and associated cabling installed, signage and a ducted communication system and associated civils works supporting over 50 gantries, complete with messaging signs, intended to deliver the Highway Agencies stated aims of safer and more reliable timed journeys made by a better informed travelling public.
