At the recent Institute of Lighting Professionals regional dinner dance Steve Adcock, borne along on the recent wave of euphoria brought about by the English cricket teams successes against the Indians, not only bid £500 in the charity auction for a bat signed by the English bowler Stuart Broad; but then promptly presented it to an Indian gentlemen who was sat at his table.
The cheque, at Steve’s suggestion, was presented to Walsall’s Mayor, Steve Perry, in support of his charity by the ILP’s Lady Chairman Elizabeth Thomas.
