Four new appointments for the company including new HSEQ Advisor, Kulbinder Mann

We have continued our impressive growth for 2018 with four new appointments – including new HSEQ Advisor Kulbinder Mann.

Kulbinder joins the company in the role of HSEQ Advisor – adding further experience to our internal health, safety and quality management systems across our live sites. Projects initially under Kulbinder’s remit include the installation of Smart Motorway infrastructure on the M6 between J2 to J4, as well as work on the A14 Cambridge Bypass.

His core responsibilities for each site include, conducting site inspections and audits, checking risk assessments and method statements, ensuring operatives are working safely and using the correct equipment for any given task and ensuring that all staff receive appropriate training to ensure that tasks are carried out competently.

Kulbinder brings with him experience across a range of road, rail and LED lighting infrastructure projects for employers including Balfour Beatty, E.ON, Anglian Water and Morrisons.

He was attracted to the role because of our broad portfolio of projects – especially work on Smart Motorways – as well as our growing reputation for health and safety and quality compliance in the industry – as he goes on to explain.

“McCann is a trusted and established name within civil and electrical engineering, so I wanted to bring my expertise to the mix and work on projects I haven’t worked on previously – especially Smart Motorway schemes,”.

He continues, “The expert team at McCann was a real draw for me. The company is doing tremendously well and already boasts an excellent track record when it comes to health, safety and quality compliance – so I am keen to not only maintain but build upon this reputation moving forward.”

Kulbinder’s line manager, John Spencer, is delighted to welcome him on board and sees his experience as a real asset to the company – “Our compliance as a company is already to a high standard, but with Kulbinder in the team, I am confident we can further develop and grow as a business within all aspects of health and safety.”

As well as the appointment of Kulbinder as HSEQ Advisor, we have recruited three further new employees including Kerry Davis as receptionist, David Brownfield as Plant Operator and Paul Martin as a Senior Site Manager for our house building company, Peter James Homes.
